When with the perpetual damaging environmental changes, such as natural disaster or as the pandemic exemplify. Life has become very unpredictable, and people have to adapt to the situation. However, everyone has a different approach to finding their safety.  \r\n\r\n \r\nThis capsules collection considers the industrialization of modern life and nature. They require low maintenance, bloom in winter or warm, dry climates, and thrive in poor soil conditions. I was particularly intrigued by a study published in the journal New Phytologist conducted to research the reaction of flowers when they are injured. The result shows that these flowers could adapt by adjusting their broken stem at an angle for better chances of pollination. The flowers were able to survive the misfortune without any external support. Flowers with such fragile appearance displayed their resilience when faced with hardships was genuinely inspirational. The theme's choice also demonstrates that observing nature may offer us comfort and motivation to keep moving forward. Looking at it from a lyrical perspective, the resilience of the flowers speaks to the message life yearns for more. The range portrays the distorted vision of one\u2019s habitat through the eye of a homesick person, as they begin patching up memories with the details of house furniture being displaced into their own body, trying to build a place where they would belong amidst their unfamiliar surroundings.  \r\nThe primary inspiration derived from curtains is one of the furnishings that functions as a shelter from the outside world and makes houses a haven for humans. As part of a seven-week Interdisciplinary Project conducted during this Special Term, students from the School of Art & Design (SOAD) research, design, and present sustainable solutions to tackle fashion waste\u2014which culminated in a public showcase at library@harbourfront from 20 July to 8 August 2022. \r\n \r\nAdditionally, these students led an interactive upcycling workshops to engage the community by drawing together fashion, art, and environmental sustainability.
